Day1:
Arrive at Wilson Airport check in for your afternoon 2 p.m. flight to Lamu
(check in 1 hour before departure).
On arrival at Lamu ‚ meet‚ greet and transfer by boat to Lamu then to Shela house.
This is a peaceful tropical island in Kenya where life is lived at its own relaxed rhythm‚
life slows down‚ This package sleeps 6‚ 3 doubles‚ one has a view over shela village and
the channel between Lamu and Manda island. Spent the day strolling along the water front‚
listen to music‚ play cards‚ have a sun downer or just gaze out at the night sky.
Dinner and Overnight.
Day2:
Wake up lazily Lamu Island is a place where time has stood still‚ after a sumptuous Swahili
breakfast‚ enjoy the unparallel luxury to walk past gently shelving white sands or swim with
dolphins and turtles in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Easy beach life is a daily
need‚ together with water skiing or even surfing. Forget the world beyond; this is a perfect
place for daydreaming. A must is a sunset or a longer trip on a traditional Swahili dhow.
Dinner and overnight.
Day3:
By boat‚ or on foot along the beach‚ visiting the old city of Lamu is an absolute must‚
you must do it during these holidays. You will be transported directly back into the 17th century.
No cars‚ and the alleyways‚ each one narrower than the last‚ form a labyrinth from which
the local children will easily show you the way out.
Day4:
Renewed and rejuvenated your flight back to Nairobi is only in the late afternoon.
